Business & Finance Social Media

Are Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter Good for My Business?

We hear this question very frequently these days.
Don't we? We also hear people suggesting both on the affirmative and also negative.
However, in our opinion, it is a "YES" for b2c companies while a "BIG NO" for B2B companies.
Interesting isn't it? Here is our explanation on why we think so.
Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter per se are social media originally designed for people to get connected and are successful.
They may have graduated to provide connectivity for businesses more so in the b2c category.
Companies in the B2C basically look forward to extensive brand building exercises amongst the masses while we all recognize that B2B scenario is a different ball game altogether.
To put things in perspective, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter have a long way to move forward and currently lack the following features for businesses especially the small and medium enterprises around the world.
  • An active business community for any business to business collaboration including finding prospects, engaging them and converting them as leads etc
  • Interaction with customers so as to see long term value from them
  • Reason for businesses to stay tied or hooked onto the platform
Well, a solution for the above could only be sought on a cloud platform where all the companies collaborate both internally and externally.
In such an environment, most of the problems associated with the SMEs can be solved in the following way.
  • Eliminate SPAM - Just find, follow, connect and collaborate with the companies instead of buying prospect lists spending thousands of $$ towards contact directories that lead to SPAM
  • Harness and assess social media impact - Obtain insights on specific leads as to what, when and who from your organization was exchanged via the social media.
Also, derive stats on its impact on the sale or otherwise
  • Improve campaign effectiveness - Find your audience and follow them to understand their profile & activities.
Finally, connect & collaborate with the most likely set of prospects base to target your campaigns and experience improved response rates.
  • Increased visibility - Your company and professional profile page creation on Wapr automatically means that you have search engine optimized your company brand and increased visibility to the right audience.
  • Campaigns galore - Create and execute your marketing campaigns like email, event, word of mouth etc on the fly with thousands of pre-designed templates to your targeted audience.
Further, track all your campaigns through analytics
  • Community Intelligence - Not only track your profile page or website visitors, but get insights into who is interested in your products/services, which market (geographic location) or industry is potential for your product/service etc.
