- 1). Measure and mark the center lines using the installation bracket as a template. When mounting brackets, make sure they are in line and level. Hold the installation rail against the frame where you want to hang the blind, and measure and mark the center lines.
- 2). Mount the brackets flat against the top sill surface so the blinds will hang on the inside of the window. Screw in the included bugle head screw in the bracket hole closest to the front. To mount brackets on the outside of the frame, hold each bracket flat while you insert bugle head screws into its back side and screw them tightly into the base.
- 3). Unwind the cord from the blinds but don't remove the rubber band. Pick up the blind by holding it near its brackets and insert the front clip into the rail's front groove until it clicks. Check that the blind is centered before continuing.
- 4). Push in the rail until its back clips are inside the rail's back groove until you hear it click in.
- 5). Test the blind's operation before going on to the hold-down brackets. When you're ready, close the blind until it hits its natural stop. Hold a bracket on the left, side window frame, aligned to face inward. Insert the hold-down's pin into its hole in the end caps, making sure that it's straight in all directions. The end of the pin indicates where the screws must go, so mark that spot. Repeat on the right side of the frame. Raise the blinds and screw the brackets into the frame.
