- 1). Disconnect the spark plug by pulling the black rubber boot off the end of the spark plug.
- 2). Remove the screw holding the air filter cover in place, using a flat screwdriver. Remove the air filter from the filter assembly. Lift the filter assembly and gasket off the top of the carburetor.
- 3). Pry up on the lock tabs on the sides of the primer-bulb retaining collar with a flat screwdriver and pull the collar off the side of the carburetor. Remove the primer bulb.
- 4). Fit the new primer bulb into the retaining collar and snap the collar back onto the side of the carburetor. Place the gasket and air-filter assembly on top of the carburetor. Place the air filter in the air-filter assembly. Place the air-filter cover on the assembly, insert the screw into the hole and tighten it snugly with a flat screwdriver.
- 5). Place the black rubber spark plug boot on the spark plug and press it on until it clicks. Press the priming pump three times and start the engine normally.
