Regripping a Squash Racquet

    • 1). Remove the old grip by unwrapping it from the handle. Pull out the staple securing it with a pair of pliers.

    • 2). Remove about 12 inches of the backing tape from the new grip material. Line the tapered end of the new grip up with the butt cap of the racquet. if you are a right-handed player, wrap the grip to the right when the racquet is upside down and vice-versa for a left handed player.

    • 3). Keep the head of the racquet sturdy against your leg or hip. Hold the grip firmly with one hand and rotate the racquet with the other to wrap the grip around the racquet handle. Overlap the edge about 1/16 inch over the previous lap. Remove the backing tape as you go to attach the grip to the handle.

    • 4). Mark the line of the top of the handle on the grip with a pen, when you reach the top. Cut off the excess grip. Secure the top of the grip in place with grip tape or a rubber band.
