- 1). Press and hold the "End" button to turn off the device, if possible. Many problems that occur with the T-Mobile Shadow result in non-responsive button presses. The "End" button is located to the right of the navigation buttons and has a red phone handset symbol on it.
- 2). Turn the Shadow over and press down on the battery cover located on the bottom of the phone. The cover will slide off of the phone base.
- 3). Pull the battery out of the T-Mobile Shadow for approximately three seconds.
- 4). Reinsert the battery, making sure the contacts on the battery sit against the contacts in the battery compartment, and replace the battery cover.
- 5). Turn the phone on by pressing and holding the "End" button until the LCD screen lights up.
