- 1). Make a slip stitch and insert the crochet hook in the loop. Chain stitch a chain long enough to wrap around the diameter of the bottle. Add or take off chain stitches as necessary. Turn the chain, taking care not to twist it.
- 2). Skip the first chain stitch. Single crochet in the next chain stitch and in each chain stitch across. Chain one and turn. Continue until the piece is the same height or slightly higher than the bottle.
- 3). Thread a yarn needle with yarn. Knot the end. With right sides together, sew the bottle cover bottom and side to form a tube. Turn the bottle cover right-side out.
- 4). Chain stitch several stitches to create a drawstring. Tie off the ends and knot them. Thread the drawstring through the crochet stitches at the top of the bottle cover. Insert the bottle inside the crochet cover. Pull the drawstring ends to cinch up the opening.
