Stop Looking At Your Opt-In List As Just A Profit Machine

Your opt-in list is much more a tool than a profit machine. Often many times I'll see a newbie who starts to get regular subscribers send them offer after offer without any quality information. I'm not at all saying you shouldn't send offers as any business needs to profit, but who wants offer after offer without some real advise, tips, and freebies along the way.

Any opt-in list can have real benefits to a business and business owner.

1. Give them real content they can use in their lives and businesses.

For example if you have a list in the niche of lets say motor sports then you could write small bits of information pertaining on the safety while operating a dirtbike or atv. I mean who doesn't want safety... right!

Maybe your subscribers are affiliates so give them bits of information that pertain to building their affiliate business. Sometimes you come across partner sites that can benefit them as well and that's the time to offer it along with your quality content email. Especially if you give good advise they will want more. You benefit and they do also it goes hand in hand.

Just give them good quality content along the way and they in return will be long loyal customers. If you don't they will opt-out faster than you may blink and eye.

2. Use your subscribers list to learn from and develop new products.

This is simple really. By learning what I mean is do surveys on the niche area you think will have success. See what they want before you ever decide to put more work into the project. It only makes sense to see what your customers want first. Ask questions, do surveys and offer something in exchange such as a discount on a particular item of yours for their response or even a freebie item.

3. Reward the list.

If you are trying to get subscribers than nothing is a better way to get subscribers to join your opt-in than giving them some sort of reward to opt right now.

I like this one. It's the best one. I feel so great rewarding my lists. Again, give them freebies, discounts, or maybe rebates to other affiliate products through you. It's not hard to do offering something as a reward for them being on your list. All it takes is a little thought.

A rebate takes nothing more than a half a page PDF file with some information pertaining to the affiliate product and their information can be filled in by them on it. A good idea is to only send out rebates after 90 days as that's how long you have with credit card companies for a return/refund.

Freebies are easy to find. Just take a look around the internet or your local neighborhood and see what you can offer them related to the niche your in.

If you take these simple steps in account your likely to have a more loyal and longer lasting customer who will in return want to spend money for the offers you do provide along the years.
