- 1). Fill your steam cleaner with water and turn it on to allow the water to heat up.
- 2). Run the steam cleaner over carpets several times. The steam cleaner will send steam into the carpet when you push it away and suck the moisture back up when you pull it toward you. Do this on any moldy areas.
- 3). Point a fan at the carpet and open windows to help the carpet dry quickly.
- 1). Fill the steam cleaner with water and let it heat up.
- 2). Point the steamer at the mold. The pressure and heat from the steam will kill the mold and loosen it.
- 3). Wipe the mold and water up with a dry cloth.
