How to Remove Cigarette Smoke Odors With Vinegar

    • 1). Mix 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon warm water in a cleaning bucket.

    • 2). Dip your mop into the vinegar water, wring out the mop, and wipe across all hard flooring surfaces. The diluted vinegar mixture is still strong enough to deodorize, yet mild enough for use on any hard floor surface.

    • 3). Fill a spray bottle with one part white vinegar to two parts water.

    • 4). Spray this mixture over all hard surfaces and wipe off with a damp cleaning rag. This includes counter tops, cabinets, tables, and similar surfaces.

    • 5). Mist the spray lightly over all textiles, including upholstery, carpeting, drapes, and similar surfaces. Let the fabric air-dry, and repeat as needed until all cigarette odor is removed.

    • 6). Fill several bowls with about 1 cup each of white vinegar, and place around the home. Place one bowl in each room and let sit overnight.
