- 1). Turn the HP M3035 printer off and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes before replacing the fuser. The fuser cartridge gets very hot when the printer is working, and you could burn yourself if you do not allow it to cool sufficiently.
- 2). Open the fuser cover door and flip down the two blue clips that hold the fuser cartridge in place. The fuser door is located on the left hand side of the printer as you face it. The fuser itself is a black cartridge with a large yellow warning label indicating that it may be hot. Grasp the fuser by the handle and pull it straight ouf of the printer.
- 3). Remove the new fuser cartridge from the box and take off any packaging materials. HP makes these packing materials bright orange to make them easier to find and remove.
- 4). Hold the fuser cartridge firmly by the handle and slide it straight into the M3035. You will feel the fuser cartridge snap into place as it makes contact with the board inside the printer.
- 5). Flip the two blue clips up to lock the fuser in place. If the fuser is not properly seated, the clips will not move into position.
