Sleeping help please! It's 2 am in the morning and I am wide eyed and just can't go to sleep.
Somebody help! We've all been there at one time or another...
we just can't go to sleep.
The harder we try, the worse it seems to get.
Many things can affect your sleep pattern but the one thing that plays the biggest role in keeping you from that sought after sleep is melatonin.
Melatonin is actually made by your body in the pineal gland.
The problem is as we get older, the less melatonin our bodies seem to produce.
Couple that with a busy lifestyle and the day to day stress we all face, and we find ourselves crying out "sleeping help please"! Somebody, anybody show me where I can get some relief! Increasing your melatonin levels is probably the best place to start.
Melatonin comes in pills , sprays, liqiud and just recently has come out in a strip form.
You place these mealtonin strips in your mouth between your cheek and gum and they dissolve within a minute or two.
Studies show that when something is absorbed through the lining of your mouth (buccal lining) it goes into your body twice as fast.
So to get the quickest relief, melatonin strips would be a good first choice.
Addressing other factors in your life are important too.
How are you dealing with your stress? Are you winding down before you go to sleep? Are you eating right? Hopefully with some melatonin in hand and a few lifestyle changes, you won't be say "sleeping help please" but will be well on your way to a good nights sleep!
