Beaded Friendship Bracelet Instructions

    • 1). Measure the circumference of your wrist. Have a friend or family member help. Use scissors to cut the string at least two inches longer than the circumference of your wrist.

    • 2). Tie a big-enough knot at the end of the string so the beads don't fall off while applying them. Choose the colors you wish to use for your bracelet as well as the letters that spell out your friend's name. You may also select charm beads to give the bracelet extra flair.

    • 3). Check the beads to see if they are in the order you want them. If they look correct, take the knot out of the end of the bracelet so both ends are open. The knot needs to be taken out to reduce the amount of knots in the string. Ensure that there aren't any gaps between the beads. You can also attach clasps at the end of the bracelet. This will allow for clasping the bracelet on and off instead of sliding the bracelet on and off your wrist.

    • 4). Ask a family member or friend to help you tie the two ends of the bracelet around your wrist. Make sure it's not too tight or loose. Trim any extra string that may be hanging.
