Santana Making A Difference In The Field Of Music

Remember the times, when a person with a cool look fusing and blending different musical styles, and thus giving rise to a new trend of music? Guess who it is winning the hearts of the millions all around the world. Carlos Augusto Alves Santana is the name, the stud from Mexico City and becoming one of greatest legends as a Mexican and American guitarist. Fusing Latin and African rhythms and setting in Blues Base styles.

Heard of Black magic Woman, Evil Ways, Soul Sacrifice, Oye Coma Va, Smooth, Jingo, Samba Pa Ti and lots and lots more. Definitely those who are familiar with him must have heard these tracks. Born in an urban region of Autln de Navarro in Mexico city on 20th July 1947 who later on moved to San Francisco.

In His Earlier Life:

In his earlier periods of his life he worked in a famous rock and roll band both as a singer and a guitarist. At the age of five Santana the guitarist first learned to play with strings, but the instrument was not guitar. Amazed? Dont be, since his father was a violinist so from his father he inherited the talent. Later on in the age of eight, he found his own field of specialisation; yes this time it was guitar. After moving to San Francisco from the Mexico City the young legend unaware what great achievements the future has in store for him, he worked as a dish washer in a hotel and later for few spare changes playing guitar out in the streets. Not only he had interest in music, but also he liked meditation.

Achievements:

Musical Santana was greatly inspired by the Hippie movements all around the country in the 1960s. He decided to work as a full time musician. Thus forming a band and named it Santana. People were impressed with the blending of different styles of music and thus after gaining so much popularity the band decided to launch its first official album Evil Ways. Soon after spending few time they again launched their next album in 1972, Black Magic Woman. With its personnel changing, the founder remained as the only member in the band. The band worked with many other legends like drummer Buddy Miles, pianist Herbie Hancock, and guitarist John Laughlin. Taking spiritualism in the account, he performed many live shows and achieved a huge success.

Popular Santana taking the whole risk on his shoulders and under his trade mark launched another album named brothers in1994. This was nominated for a Grammy for the best Rock music in 1994. 1997 he gave a head start and again joined the band. 1999 was the year when the album supernatural was released and by 2000 it nearly sold more than 10million copies.

He on ten Grammy awards in his entire career for worth mentioning tracks like Maria Maria, Put Your Lights On, Blues For Salvador, El Farol, and many more. The latest being received on the 2002 for the album Game Of Love. He will be in our hearts for times immemorial.
