In 2010 the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs allocated $500,000 to the 19 regional regranting agencies. The money is to be used for mini-grants, and focus group meetings are held to discuss the Grant guidelines for the public interest. The council may partner with other agencies for grant writing and improved project management. A peer panel review process is used to consider grant applications from a professional perspective, with those who have a knowledge of the arts reviewing each application. The grant applications will be rated according to merit. - Creative Designstone workshop in the garden image by Wizardgold from Fotolia.com
