Because of Maryland's historic significance and location, dating back to the 1600s, the state is rife with legends, folklore and ghost stories about its buildings, land and cemeteries. Although Maryland hotels might not like to brag about their ghoulish guests, many staff are on hand to answer questions about their spooky experiences. - Originally opened in 1770, Baltimore's Admiral Fell Inn has been more than just a hotel. It was once a theater and a boarding house for sailors. It's currently an urban inn at Fell's Point on the Baltimore waterfront.
The most common ghost story surrounding this Inn is the rumor that a man died in room 413. Many housekeepers claim to get an eerie feeling when entering the room, and one named Fran Gale, who cleaned the room daily, maintained that she consistently felt a puff of air on her arms or face.
During Hurricane Isabel in September 2003, guests evacuated the hotel, and one hotel manager stayed alone in the lobby. She professed hearing as many as 20 people talking and dancing on the floor above her. The next evening, another hotel manager claimed that the dancing was so loud, he felt the ceiling shake.

harbormagic.com - In the 1820s, Alexander Thompson built this hotel on Kent Island near Stevensville on land he inherited from his mother. This large, Victorian-style hotel hosts weddings, features 24 luxurious rooms, and is surrounded by a lonely, winding country road.
Ghostly findings and accounts include disembodied voices, a feeling of eyes surrounding the guests, doors forced closed, blinking lights and the smell of burning cigars. It's speculated that Alexander Thompson has haunted the premises ever since he hung himself in room 210 in 1875 after living at the inn for his entire life. According to the television program "Hometown Tales," the current owner found a photo of the original owner and hung it in the foyer. Apparently, the apparitions have calmed significantly since the picture hanging.

kentmanor.com - Located in the hub of downtown Baltimore's Inner Harbor, the Radisson Lord Baltimore was the biggest hotel ever built in Maryland when it was constructed in the 1920s in the Art Deco style.
One ghost continually reappears on the 19th floor and sometimes in the ballroom. She has been described as a young girl in a long, cream dress with a red bouncing ball and shiny black shoes. Fran Carter, who was the hotel's supervisor for many years, claims to have seen her and two older, well-dressed adults, but when she approached them, they would always vanish. Guests have reported at least two or three other accounts of the young girl, according to travelparanormal.com.
