How to Remove Super Duty Ford Headlamp

    • 1). Turn the Super Duty's headlamp switch off and remove the key for safety. Pull the hood release and step in front of the truck.

    • 2). Lift the hood. The automatic struts will support it in the air. Examine the headlamp you want to remove closely. Locate the four bolts securing the headlamp. There is one on top, one on the bottom, and two on the inboard side.

    • 3). Match up the size of the bolts with the appropriate socket attachment. Turn the bolts counterclockwise to remove them one by one. Store them somewhere safe.

    • 4). Grasp the top and inboard side of the headlamp. Pull it sharply to remove it. There are two mounting pins holding the headlamp in. It may take a little force to remove it.

    • 5). Access the back of the headlamp. Push in the plastic tab on the electrical harness. Pull the harness away to unplug it. The headlamp is now separated from the Super Duty.
