  Often times when people travel, they're forced to leave behind a crucial member of the family--their dog. However, more and more lodging facilities across the country are allowing animals to stay with their masters in their accommodations. Some even provide dog beds and toys. The Texas city of Frisco features three hotels that allow canine travelers.
  
  

Aloft Frisco

• The Aloft Frisco hotel offers more than just people accommodations. Pets are welcome too, and they're provided with a dog bed, their own bowl, treats and toys. Up to two dogs under 40 lbs. are welcome to stay at the hotel for no additional fee. However, those traveling with larger animals or more than two dogs are welcome to contact the hotel to discuss waiver options. The hotel is located within 30 minutes of Dallas and within walking distance to the 160-outlet Stonebriar Centre. Other nearby attractions include the Frisco Heritage Museum and the Texas Sculpture Garden. Hotel amenities include 42-inch flat-screen televisions, free wireless Internet and connectivity stations for electrical appliances.
  
  

Westin Stonebriar

• The Westin Stonebriar hotel allows guests to be accompanied by one 40-lb. dog. To do so, guests must first sign a damage waiver and pay a refundable pet deposit. In order to get the deposit back, the hotel must not find any evidence of damage caused by the animal. Guests are also responsible for their dog at all times and must comply with the hotel's noise abatement and leash requirements. The 301-room hotel offers over-sized bathrooms, 24-hour room service and room balconies. The Shops at Legacy is located just two miles away, offering a combination of dining, entertainment and retail options. Other nearby attractions include Pizza Hut Park -- home of FC Dallas Soccer -- and the Stonebriar Centre shopping complex.
  
  

Sheraton Stonebriar

• The Sheraton Stonebriar hotel allows one dog less than 40 lbs. Although there is no additional fee for the animal's lodging, guests are required to sign a waiver prior to check-in, holding them accountable for any damages. Dog beds and bowls are complimentary upon request, and the dog is permitted anywhere in the hotel as long as its accompanied by its owner. The hotel itself features a lobby complete with a fireplace and leather sofas, and the 5444 Restaurant & Lounge for causal dining. It's located near Hawaiian Falls Water Park, the Stonebriar Centre Mall and Dr. Pepper Park, home of the Frisco Roughriders minor league baseball team. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service in the surrounding area, copy/fax/print services for businessmen, and two meeting rooms.
