- 1). Locate the lifeline on the palm. It is the long curved line wrapping around the base of the thumb.
- 2). Ask the client's current age.
- 3). Locate the start of the lifeline. The lifeline starts at the side of the palm between the thumb and the index finger. This is the age of "0" for the person being read.
- 4). Mark the halfway point on the lifeline with a marker. This is roughly the age of 35.
- 5). Divide the top and bottom sections of the lifeline in half again. This marks roughly the ages of 17 1/2 and 52 1/2 years old.
- 6). Divide these four sections in half again to further specify ages. For instance, dividing the section between 35 and 52 1/2 years old marks roughly 44 years of age. Keep dividing until the marks are as age specific as you need.
- 7). Check the mark closest to the client's age and interpret the lifeline near it. You can also interpret major events further in the client's future by checking marks further along the lifeline.
