lex Rodriquez, also known as A-Rod, Madonna’s new boyfriend, has reportedly dropped Kabbalah. Madonna, a dedicated follower of Kabbalah (an off-shoot of Judaism), had also failed to interest her second ex-husband Guy Ritchie (Madonna has also been married to actor Sean Penn) in the religion which he called “weird” and “hokum”. Alex Rodriguez’s indifference has made Madonna rethink the status of their relationship.

According to an insider, "This is certainly off-putting to Madonna. She did drag Guy into Kabbalah, she's doing the same with Alex. But he's bored. He's basically a Kabbalah dropout." Another insider from the New York Kabbalah Center (where Madonna and Alex Rodriguez have been taking lessons privately) added, “He hasn't even finished Kabbalah 1 (the introduction to Kabbalah) and the majority of the time he spent with Yardeni so far was for counseling, not study."

This happened despite the fact that Alex Rodriguez, who has also just recently split from wife Cynthia Rodriguez, had mentioned to a friend that he felt that Madonna was his "f*%king soulmate, dude."

Madonna has told the press that she’s being kept busy by her “Sticky and Sweet” tour, so she’s been too distracted to focus on her personal life. She said, "It would be horrible if I was just thinking about getting a divorce and had nothing to do." Madonna, who has three children, has also mentioned that she feels grateful for having such a successful career and said, "I'm sad about my personal life, but I feel very blessed and very lucky that I have the opportunity to do what I do in my professional life."  

On the other hand, Madonna’s relationship with her ex-husband Sean Penn seems to be quite good compared to her other rocky relationships. They’ve been spotted together in the New York area, specifically at the Greenwich Hotel where they drank after one of her concerts. It has been reported that Sean has been helping Madonna emotionally. However, it seems that the old flame will not be rekindled since an insider noted, "They have a nice rapport. There's nothing romantic there. They're just good friends."
