A quick, in-office biochemical test produced by RPS (Rapid Pathogen Screening) for detection of the adenovirus, a virus that causes a very contagious viral conjunctivits or eye infection. The RPS Adeno Detector can help physicians determine the cause of conjunctivitis, or pink eye. Samples are collected from fluid and tears directly from the eye. Results of the test, either positive or negative, are available within 10 minutes, before the patient even leaves the doctor's office.
The RPS Adeno Detector accurately distinguishes between viral and bacterial infections. Approved by the FDA, the simple test reduces out-of-pocket expenses by the patient, unnecessary antibiotics and unnecessary repeated office visits.
