- 1). Fold the paper in half from top to bottom. Use scissors to cut the paper in half along this crease. Dispose or put aside one half.
- 2). Fold the paper in half lengthwise again. Unfold.
- 3). Fold the top half of the paper in half lengthwise. Repeat with the bottom half.
- 4). Take the right half of the paper and fold it in half to meet the left edge.
- 5). Rotate the paper so the folded edge created in Step 4 is facing upward and away from you.
- 6). Fold the top left corner back and forth, aligning with the vertical center of the rectangle each time. Repeat with the right corner.
- 7). Collapse the top left corner inward and press flat. Repeat with the top right corner.
- 8). Return the figure to the shape in Step 3.
- 9). Open the left flap and flatten.
- 10
Pinch the creases of the diamond in the center (the diamond is a product of creases) of the opened left flap to define them. - 11
Collapse the horizontal middle of the diamond upward to create a protruding corner. Flatten the corner upward, then downward. You should be left with an angled shape. - 12
Fold the left flap downward, pressing flat. Fold the right flap downward, pressing flat as well, and allowing the corner to collapse overlapping the left flap. - 13
Unfold your work in Step 12. Lift the bottom left flap upward and press the top left flap down to replace it. Tuck in the bottom flap's top corner into the hollow of the corner of the boomerang and press flat. - 14
At the left end of the boomerang, open it up and create an inside reverse fold on both the left and right corners. Repeat with the right end of the boomerang. Fold it back to its position at the end of Step 13.
