Monroe Area Dentists Create " no Cavity Club" To Promote Better Oral Hygiene Practices

Franklin, OH, February 5, 2014 - At an early age, a patient needs to create healthy habits-he/she will benefit from it now and in the future. Good oral hygiene is the key to healthy teeth and gums. Practice makes permanent, which is why Drs. Kori and Everhart have implemented a "No Cavity Club" program at their Franklin dentist office near Monroe.

"A lot of our younger patients don't truly understand how important it is to brush and floss teeth. To give them more of an incentive, we created a 'No Cavity Club' that awards the patient with the cleanest teeth," explains Dr. Kori.

Any patient between the ages of 3-15 can participate. There is one winner a month; toddlers, kids and teens need to start brushing-and flossing! To win a prize, patients must remember three things:

*Brush twice a day, two minutes each time
*Floss daily, between each tooth
*Visit the dentist, twice a year

These are simple tasks, but many people don't follow through with them. Some patients think-I can do better, later. That's not a good way to think. It's never too early to build better dental habits.

Because "It's never too late" isn't a saying that a person hears very often in regards to oral health. There are times when it is too late; meaning, a patient has developed tooth decay, gingivitis or gum disease. Worst-case scenario, he/she ended up losing a tooth. Drs. Kori and Everhart work hard to do two things-prevent dental problems and fix them. Sometimes it's inevitable, which is why Kori & Everhart Advanced Dentistry offers restorative procedures, such as dental implants, in Monroe. Before a patient's oral health starts to decline, Drs. Kori and Everhart hope this new "No Cavity Club" will help give their younger patients develop a proactive attitude in regards to keeping teeth cavity free!
