Free Movies at Family Film Day at the Missouri History Museum
Finding ways to keep your kids entertained in the winter can sometimes be a challenge. If your children like movies, one free event worth checking out is Family Film Day at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. Each month in the winter, the museum hosts a free afternoon of entertainment including a popular family-friendly movie.

When and Where:
Family Film Day is held one Saturday a month in December, January, February and March. There may also be a second Family Film Day in December during the holiday break when most children are off school. December movies begin at 10:30 a.m. The rest begin at 12:30 p.m. The movies are shown in the museum's AT&T Foundation Multipurpose Room.
Movies are just part of the fun at Family Film Day. Children are invited to make crafts and hear a story before the movie. They can also win prizes and have snacks.

Here is the schedule of movies for the winter of 2015:

More Events for Kids:
Family Film Day is just one of the special events for kids held throughout the year at the Missouri History Museum. Storytelling Workshops are popular with parents of younger children. The workshops are held each Friday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
They are designed for children ages two to five and last about 45 minutes. Storytellers incorporate history and artifacts into the stories they share. The children also make a craft related to the theme for the week. Storytelling Workshops are free.
Family Tours are another way for children to see the museum's offerings in a kid-friendly way. During the 20 minute tours, guides provide information on the paintings, artifacts and other historical displays in the galleries. For more information on the tour schedule and other events, see the Missouri History Museum website.
