How to Trim a Mustache

Today we're going to be teaching you how to trim a moustache and stylize it by using several methods you can choose from.
This is very important, because if you've decided you want to continue sporting a mustache, you most likely want to avoid looking like Luigi from Super Mario.
The optimal solution is trimming your mustache in a way that will compliment you.
How to Trim a Moustache It is crucial to the process that you trim your mustache only after it has fully grown, you do not want to end up trimming a mustache that hasn't began to develop a base.
There are only two tools you need: The first is a fine toothed comb (or a mustache comb), and the second, is a pair of quality scissors that were made for cutting hairs, I highly recommend the Tweezerman Stainless 2000 Styling Shears.
While some people actually prefer to use trimmers to trim their mustache, it is probably the best to use scissors to do the job.
-Begin by slightly damping your mustache with warm water (but be careful not to use hot water).
-Now, in a downwards motion, comb your mustache using your fine toothed comb.
-Remember to always cut using small snips, as you can always cut more, but once you cut too much you can't go back.
-Carefully, yet firmly, use the scissors to snip the bottom part of your mustache just slightly above the lips, which should create a smooth thin line.
-Go to the edges of your mustache (both the left and the right) and start trimming (again, remember to make small snips) until you've reached the desired length.
-The last step is to focus on the middle part of your mustache, which means you will focus on the overall length and how bushy you want your mustache to look.
For this area, you can use the fine toothed comb, which might bring back memories of how barbers usually cut hair.
-Let the hairs go through the teeth of the comb, this will enable you to easily cut the edges of the hairs on your mustache.
-Comb your hair down again and this time, really focus on your mustache to see if you might have missed a spot, or perhaps left an area uneven at certain points, if you notice a mistake just pick up the scissors again and fix it, and you're all done! We hope this guide successfully taught you how to trim a moustache, enjoy your new glorious mustache!
