Why Do Pregnant Women Get Nausea During Pregnancy?

You are so excited to find out you are pregnant and about to experience the greatest miracle of life but then you strike morning sickness.
This can turn what should be a joyous time into a miserable one.
The nausea during pregnancy and sometimes vomiting can really make it hard to get through your day.
Although the true cause of nausea during pregnancy is unknown there seems to be speculation that it may have something to do with the many changes happening in your body during the pregnancy.
Various hormones are produced by your body during your pregnancy.
It is thought that these hormones could be the cause of morning sickness and the nausea during your pregnancy.
Human Chronic Gonadotropn (HCG) hormone is produced by you and your baby during your pregnancy.
Progesterone which is produced during pregnancy many be causing extra acid to form in your stomach.
This acid may be causing the nausea and vomiting.
It happens because the progesterone has a relaxing effect on your stomach and intestines.
Estrogens could also be causing the nausea because during pregnancy the levels of this hormone go up to a higher level and there are more amounts of it than usually found in your body.
You sense of smell is enhanced during your pregnancy.
This makes the odours around you stronger.
Some of these odours could bring on your nausea and vomiting.
Taking a B6 vitamin supplement may help remedy the symptoms.
Although studies have shown that the levels of vitamin B6 in women with morning sickness were no different to the levels in women without this condition.
After 12 weeks the hormones levels in your body are reduced and this is also when the morning sickness ends.
You start to feel better and can finally enjoy the anticipation of your new baby.
A small number of women continue to suffer from nausea and vomiting all throughout their pregnancy.
If you have severe morning sickness you should go and see your doctor for assistance.
If you are vomiting you need to ensure that you are drinking enough water to replace the fluids you have lost.
