- 1). Draw your proposed design on the graph paper.
- 2). Use your colored pencils to indicate where your bead colors will change. For a flat design, simply stitch the beads in place as drawn.
- 3). Follow the pattern, replacing one square of the grid paper with one bead. If you are using multiple bead sizes, you will have to determine the number of squares to represent the various sized beads you have.
- 4). Follow the pattern for a 3D design but extend the color choices and specific bead patterns to allow for the sides and back.
