- 1). Open the glove box from the passenger side. Remove all the contents and set them aside. Locate and remove the retainer tabs on each side of the glove box. At the top, remove the three screws of the glove box housing from left to right using a Phillips screwdriver. Shut the glove box.
- 2). Locate and remove the access panel on the right side of the glove box exterior housing. Gently pry it off with a straightedge screwdriver and remove the two screws revealed under the panel.
- 3). Move to passenger side floorboard area to locate and remove the access panel located at the bottom center of the dashboard. Locate the panel retainer screw on the right side of the panel and use a Phillips screwdriver to remove it.
- 4). Move to the last access panel directly beneath the glove box and remove it. Locate the two screws on the bottom base of the glove box and the one screw located on the metal brace and remove them. The glove box assembly will be able to be manipulated out of the vehicle now, but the glove box light wire harness on the left-hand side needs to be disconnected. While supporting the glove box, locate the wire harness, unplug it and remove the glove box from the Accord.
- 5). Return to the metal brace and remove the two remaining retainer screws. Remove the brace. Behind the brace is where the access door to the cabin air filter is located.
- 6). Lift up and pull on the access door to remove it. Slide out the first filter, but note the position of the air flow direction of the filter. Reach in the filter housing and slide the second filter out. Clean the filter housing out with a car vacuum or run the fan on "high" (not air-conditioner) to purge any debris from the housing. Vacuum up any debris inside the interior.
- 7). Place the new filters into the filter housing, making sure to position the air flow correctly and to lock them into place securely in the plastic filter housing. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the access panels and glove box assembly.
- 1). Open the glove box from the passenger side. Remove all the contents and set them aside.
- 2). Unhook the glove box stop located on the right-hand side of the glove box.
- 3). Use your fingers to gently squeeze in both the left and right side of the upper glove box housing and drop the glove box down from the dash area. Let the glove box hang.
- 4). Locate the frame of the filter now revealed by the repositioning of the glove box. Pull the filter frame out to remove the filter. Note the position of the air flow of the filter.
- 5). Clean the filter housing out with a vacuum and/or run the air blower on high to purge any remaining debris. Vacuum the interior of the car afterward. Replace the new filter onto the frame in the correct position for air flow and reinstall by reversing the procedure.
