Recovering A File After Improper Shut Down

• 1). Click on the "Microsoft Office" button and select "PowerPoint Options."
  
  
• 2). Click the "Save" tab, then click inside the "Save AutoRecover Info Every x Minutes" check box.
  
  
• 3). Select a time interval from the "Minutes" list, then click "OK." You must complete these first three steps before you lose your presentation.
  
  
• 4). Relaunch PowerPoint after the crash or power failure. It will automatically open the last temporary file it wrote.
