- 1). Go to RadioReference.com (see below), one of the most respected names in the radio arena. The Web site is packed full of interesting stuff about radio. Click on the third tab from the left labeled "Live Audio" and choose the option "Live Scanners."
- 2). Use the graphical map of the US, or the drop-down menus to choose an area or city. For example, from the drop-down, choose the metro area Los Angeles.
- 3). Add the page to your Favorites or Bookmarks and browse the live feed listings. The Status column will tell you if the feed is live or not. In the column "Player Selection", you can choose multiple types of players.
- 4). Choose "Orange County Fire" and "Web Player" and click on the loudspeaker icon. A new dialog box will open in your web browser, and the audio will play. You can adjust settings, pause and stop using the interface in this dialog box.
- 5). Press the stop button and close the dialog box when you've finished listening. Just return to this bookmark or favorite when you want to listen to more of the feed.
