Blogging, we've all heard how powerful it is and how dramatic it can be to promote our business. Again we've heard that €Content Is King€ but, how do you go about delivering great content all the time?
These 5 questions will help you to stay focused and on track while you answer them within your article. They go back to our school days; do you know what they are yet?
Why are these questions so important you might ask?
It all comes down to keeping it real and relevant along with grabbing your readers attention.
Now we've talked about the importance of our posts and keeping our readers engaged so what are these all important questions;

Who: Who is your audience? Keeping in mind who you are writing to is one of the most important aspects in writing, because if you are writing to beginners you need to speak or write to them not speak to them as you would someone that has been blog tips doing whatever for the last 5-10 years. (Remember to not Use the technical jargon that we find ourselves using,
such as SEO, SEM etc.)
What: What stories can you tell to create an engagement with your readers? Giving your readers a sense of relating to you as a leader is a good place to be because you know become approachable and relevant to your readers because you understand where they are.
Where: Where do you need to be, where do you need to broadcast your post?
Are you growing your traffic through social media, through guest blogging,through forums? Thinking this aspect through will help you begin to publish your post in places with the widest reach, so that you have the best chances to develop your customer base.
How: How are you going to tell your story, are you using blogging, videos,audios or webinars? Which platform will you use? You might decide on a couple of platform for each posting. Or you can develop one platform and from there create a couple of platforms. This way you are reaching a whole new group of people. Remember that everyone learns a different way and we all learn better by reading, listening and watching. That is why videos are so popular.
You can write your article and publish that, then create a PowerPoint presentation and capture the bullet points. Record it for a video, and then even strip the audio out to create an audio file. Now you have 3 pieces of content that can be placed on 3 different platforms to allow you to be broadcast in a much wider market.
Why: Why are you writing this article? What are you hoping to gain from it? What are you hoping your readers will take away from this article? Remembering our WHY is a powerful emotion to help keep the fires burning.
I keep a picture of my grandkids on a wall in front of me, because they are part of my why and when I look at their smiling faces, it pushes me forward.
If you are able to keep most if not all these questions in your mind while writing, you will find that your articles are well rounded and gather more engagement because you are touching the emotional level of your readers.
