Because not every person will be successful at the same treatment plans, substance abuse centers will offer multiple options that an individual can participate in.
The ITP Treatment is one of the primary treatments used by many clinics; now although not every person has to participate, it's highly recommended as it will help the individual assess his goals and aspirations that will get him steps closer to achieving a sober lifestyle.
The Individual Treatment Plan (ITP Treatment).
The ITP Treatment is developed for the sole purpose of helping individuals process their feelings and behaviors of the group therapies in order to successfully lead a sober lifestyle.
The plans are made per the individual's needs and progress.
No two individuals are compared, which makes ITP Treatment more personal and successful.
The ITP Treatment actual plan that will vary per person, as each person is his own individual.
The plan will thoroughly explain each individual's goals and hopes for his treatment, as well as include a list of programs that the individual intends on attending.
The actual duration of the ITP Treatment will vary depending on individual progress and individual medical needs.
Typically, ITP Treatment can last as little as 30 days or as long as 6 months after the initial detoxification stage, but generally, significant improvement is reached around 3 months.
When an individual opts to participate in the ITP Treatment, he must fill out a form marking which services he wants to attend and for how often.
For example, he may want to participate in group therapy, family counseling, individual activity therapy, group therapeutic behavioral services, group skills training and development, and an intensive family based service.
Now, although that may seem like a long list of counseling, those who are determined to live a clean, sober lifestyle, tend to attend a number of sessions offered with the ITP Treatment.
Also, with ITP Treatment, the individual will need to come up with a few goals, usually 3 or 6.
He will also need to write down a number of intermediate objectives that he wants to achieve while working at his main goal.
A professional will review the form and monitor the status at certain points, marking where the individual falls on a scale of 1 to 6 how how close the person has come to achieving the goal or whether the goal has been revised or deleted.
The client will sign the ITP Treatment form and begin work on the goals that he aspires to achieve.
Substance abuse treatment is a long-term process that tend to require occasional treatments and counseling to prevent relapses.
With the ITP Treatment, individuals can assess their goals and strive to achieve them, but after completing their program, it's always up to the individual to continue his treatment long-term.
Even after the individual has met the initial goals he outlined in the ITP Treatment, he can always make more and continue to strive for a sober lifestyle.
