- 1). Spray some 409 on the stain in the shower. Let the 409 sit on the stain for a 5 to 10 minutes. Use the abrasive side of a sponge, and scrub the stain until it disappears. Rinse the area with water.
- 2). If the stain is being too stubborn for the 409, try other remedies. Pour some vinegar on a sponge, and throughly wipe down the stain. Pour some baking soda on the stain and scrub it in. The baking soda will act as an abrasive to help remove the stain.
- 3). For a softer variety than the method in step 2, combine 1/4 cup of vinegar with a gallon of warm water. Dip a sponge or towel in the solution, and rub the stain with it until the stain comes out.
- 4). If all else fails and the stain will not come out, cover the drain and fill the basin with 1 to 2 inches of water. Pour some liquid bleach into the water, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Drain the basin, and spray down to remove any excess bleach.
