- 1). Prepare to mix the plaster in a large tub, such as a wheelbarrow. Clean the wheelbarrow with water and a sponge to remove debris.
- 2). Place the dry plaster into the wheelbarrow. Mix one bag at a time to ensure your plaster will have the correct consistency.
- 3). Add a fortifier to the plaster, such as acrylic concrete. Use an amount that is proportionate to the bag of plaster you are mixing, such as 1 gallon of liquid fortifier for each 80-lb. bag of plaster.
- 4). Add an amount of water that is proportionate to the bag of plaster you are mixing, such as 1 gallon of water for each 80-lb. bag of plaster. Mix all materials thoroughly with a shovel until the plaster is smooth and easy to move.
- 5). Repeat steps 2 through 4 for mixing all bags of plaster needed to cover the pool.
