DIY 8mm to DVD Conversion

    • 1). Place the projector and video camera (mounted on its tripod) 4 to 6 feet away from your white wall.

    • 2). Turn on your video camera and then turn on the projector's lamp. Next, frame the projection in your video camera's viewfinder.

    • 3). Attach and load your 8mm film into the projector. Next, hit the "Record" button on your video camera.

    • 4). Turn on your projector. When the film has finished playing, hit the "Stop" button on your video camera.

    • 5). Plug your USB transfer cable into your camera and your computer's USB port, linking them together. Next, transfer the video files over to your computer's hard drive.

    • 6). Burn the video to a DVD using a software program of your choice.
