How to Restore Blanco Sinks

    • 1). Remove mineral deposits from the sink by filling it with water then pouring in 1 cup of white vinegar. Allow the solution to sit in the sink for five minutes. Drain the sink and wipe it with a sponge. Repeat if necessary. Rinse and towel-dry the sink.

    • 2). Clean rust spots and any other stain on your Blanco stainless steel sink with a metal or stainless steel cleaner. Blanco makes a cleaner specifically for this purpose. Apply it to a sponge then wipe it onto the stain. Rub the stain until it's gone. Rinse the sink well then use a towel to dry it off.

    • 3). Polish the sink with stainless steel polish and a sponge. Rub the polish into the sink, working with the sink's natural grain. Stainless steel has a grain that is similar to wood, with lines running in one direction. Rinse the sink with water when finished. Buff the steel with a soft cloth to bring out its shine. You do not need to polish a granite sink.

    • 4). Remove stains on your granite Blanco sink by adding 1/4-cup chlorine bleach to a full sink of water and leaving it there for 30 minutes. Drain the sink then clean it with a non-abrasive cleasner and a nylon scrub pad. Rinse the sink then use a towel to dry it off.

    • 5). Maintain the sink by rinsing and drying it after every use. Clean it, as needed, with gentle, non-abrasive cleansers and a sponge.
