- 1). Snap on a faceplate. Some cell phone designs like Nokia have changeable face plates available. There are hundreds of different colors, designs, and pictures available on these face plates. This is the perfect place to start if you have no artistic ability.
- 2). Take a peak at others your age and see how they decorate their phone. If you still attend school, look at your peers' cell phones. Is there any design you would like for your own? Did they use a certain technique that looks appealing to you. If you see anything you like, jot that down on a piece of paper to remember for the future.
- 3). Purchase craft jewels and super glue. Jewels make neat cell phone decorations. Craft jewels are extremely cheap and look like awesome bling, especially on a cell phone. Typically you can purchase a bag of craft jewels for a few bucks. The super glue is also a must. It will hold on the jewels the best once it dries.
- 4). Draw the desired pattern on your cell phone with a pencil. Pencils are perfect for marking a design because they have a distinctive shine when drawn on a cell phone. Sometimes it is hard to see pen marks, but pencil marks are clearly visible. They also rub off easily when you are finished.
- 5). Dot the super glue over the drawn line and add the jewels. Once you have a neat design, like a swirl all around the back of your cell phone, you are ready to add the jewels. One super glue dot is plenty for each jewel. Place them on one by one and press down.
- 6). Keep the phone absolutely still for 2 hours to let the glue dry. Keep the decorated side of the cell phone face-up to allow gravity to keep the jewels in place. The super glue should only take a couple of hours to dry and then it is extremely difficult to remove the jewels. It should hold well.
