- 1). Measure and mark the Masonite board for cutting. Use a straightedge to form long, straight lines.
- 2). Place the board across two sawhorses or on a workbench. Face the smooth and shiny side down.
- 3). Secure the board to the workstation with "C" clamps. Clamps keep the board from moving while cutting.
- 4). Install a general-purpose blade in a circular saw, saber saw, hand saw, coping saw table saw or any saw you feel comfortable using. Cutting Masonite does not require a special saw blade because it is made of wood and has no hard adhesive bonding.
- 5). Place the saw on the cutting line and turn it on. Never force the saw through cuts, let the saw do the work. Forcing the saw results in uneven cuts, saw kickbacks and broken saw blades.
- 6). Sand edges with fine-grit sandpaper to smooth and level.
