How to Save Keystrokes as a Function Key in Windows XP

    • 1). Visit the Microsoft IntelliType Pro software web page (see Resources).

    • 2). Enter the required information about the system and hardware.

    • 3). Press "Go" and download the latest version of the IntelliType Pro software for the system.

    • 4). Follow the prompts to install it.

    • 5). Go to "Start" and select "Run."

    • 6). Type "Control Keyboard" and press "OK."

    • 7). Select the "Key Settings" tab.

    • 8). Choose the key you want to change or assign.

    • 9). Press "Configure" to change the key settings.

      Press "Assign/Manage Macro" to assign an existing macro containing the keystrokes to the function key.

    • 11

      Choose any available options as necessary and follow the prompts to finish assigning the macro to the function key.
