Some people are more likely to have skin tags for some reason.
In most cases, skin tags will just develop at some point in their life.
Generally speaking they are not dangerous, they are just occupying space and make some people uncomfortable and self-conscious.
It may have been there for the longest time without you realizing it.
The time to start worrying is if you notice that they are growing in size.
That's when you ask the question, are they really harmless? Skin tags can also be a sign of wisdom, you know as they say, as you advance in years, you may see some at some places on your face and body.
There is usually nothing to worry about.
The only thing is that it might make you uneasy, with the feeling that people are staring at your skin tags.
They are just growth of flesh that may grow like wild mushrooms in some people.
Skin tags usually grow on the eyelids, under the eyes, the armpits, etc.
I have heard that skin tags can be a sign of PCOS, polycystic ovary syndrome.
If you have any doubt that your skin tags can be related to PCOS, don't waste any time, consult with your doctor as soon as possible.
Your doctor can do some blood test and some ultrasound test to find out more about it.
If you are sure and certain that your skin tags are harmless, there are things that you can try at home to get rid of them.
You can try cutting off the blood supply but tying them up with a twine and eventually the skin tag will die and fall off.
You can also get some over the counter liquid nitrogen at your local drugstore and use it until they are completely gone.
Are they really harmless? In general they are, but to be sure of that ask your doctor and dermatologist for a second opinion.
