How to Remove Urine Stains From Vinyl Floor Tiles

    • 1). Soak up any urine sitting on the surface of the vinyl floor tiles by placing paper towels over the stain. Toss out soiled paper towels and lay down fresh paper towels, wicking up the urine until it's gone.

    • 2). Pour 2 tbsp. of clear hand dishwashing liquid and 1/4 cup of white vinegar into a bucket. Fill the bucket with 1 gallon of hot water and mix the solution. The vinegar works with the mild detergent to clean the floor while neutralizing and removing the urine odor.

Dunk your mop into the vinyl floor cleaning solution. Wring out the excess liquid once, then twice, to wash the floor with the driest mop possible. Rinse the mop frequently and continue to wash the urine-stained area.

    • 4). Rinse the floor with plain water, then towel dry. Cover the site of the urine stain with baking soda and allow the baking soda to sit on the vinyl flooring overnight. Baking soda is an odor neutralizer and will remove any last traces of urine smell in the vinyl.

    • 5). Vacuum the vinyl flooring to remove the baking soda.
