How to Fix Windshield Wiper Blades

    • 1). Lift the wiper arm assembly away from the windshield until it locks in a vertical position.

    • 2). Clear away any debris under the wiper arm and in the blade assembly.

    • 3). Check the rubber wiper blade. If it is cracked or damaged in any way, you'll need to replace it.

    • 4). With your new blade--or blades--on hand, push down on the release tab on the wiper blade assembly and pull the wiper blade off the wiper arm.

    • 5). Install the new wiper blade. Installation is the reverse of removal. Repeat as needed for additional wipers.

    • 6). Unlock the wiper arm assembly. Place it back against the windshield
