How to Bake the Blocks for a Pinewood Derby

    • 1). Press "Bake" on your oven and preheat the oven or toaster oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 2). Put your pinewood block on tin foil or a baking pan. Do not use a block that has any paint, decals or other accessories, or these will burn in the oven.

    • 3). Put the block in the center of the oven.

    • 4). Set the timer for two hours and let the oven bake the block for this time.

    • 5). Turn off the oven after two hours and put on oven mittens. Take the block or tin foil out of the oven.

    • 6). Let the block cool for a few minutes and then continue your design of the car.
