Laundry Recommendations
Since I no longer have baby laundry to do every day, I shared Seventh Generation 4X Baby Detergent with a friend who has an 11-month-old. This is the true test of a baby detergent because not only are there still diaper stains, but also solid foods as well as formula. And, at this age you can add in some ground in dirt on trouser knees from crawling.
After several weeks, the busy mom reported that she loved the cleaning power of Seventh Generation Baby. She found that it removed stains and worked great on odors. She used it as a presoak and pretreater on set-in stains and was pleased that there was no skin reaction from the clothes.
I was not surprised because I also tested it on our regular family laundry. Due to the quartet of enzymes, the stain removing abilities of the product were amazing. Even stained squares of test muslin (ketchup, mud, oil and grass) came clean with a bit of pretreating using the detergent. I was pleased with the slightly citrus scent that was not overpowering while using or after the clothes were dry.
When the detergent container was empty, it was quite easy to take apart for recycling. The fiber container went into the paper recycling. (By removing the label, it could also be composted.) Unfortunately, my local recycling program does not accept the inner plastic liner.
If you are looking for a great detergent for the whole family, I recommend Seventh Generation 4X Baby Laundry Detergent for your laundry shelf.
