The best way to be confident and passionate about a speech is to genuinely be confident and passionate.
When giving a speech, make sure that you are actually giving a speech you really care about.
This way, people will feel your passion.
Confidence is brought out by practice.
However, practice does not make perfect but it does make it permanent.
Practice your speech and what you want to say over and over and over again until it is burned into your memory.
You will be courageous in what you say because you know how you are saying it and what you are saying.
Practice your speech in front of a mirror so you can see your face.
Be sure you radiate positiveness with a lot of smiles and eye contact.
Did you know that people only have a short attention span of 2-3 minutes? To make sure they hear and understand you, use a lot of hand motions and move around.
Don't be a stiff zombie giving a presentation.
You are there to really motivate or inform them about something.
Use your voice softly and then loudly for things you want to accentuate.
If you do this, people are more inclined to remember what you said.
Everybody needs help sometimes so if you feel better, bring note cards or notes with you onto the podium.
If you make a mistake, you can always pick yourself back up with your notes.
One thing to note though is that do not reveal your mistakes.
No one knows but you.
If you forgot to say something or you skipped something, just keep going.
Nothing is worse than for you to reveal your mistakes.
With these tips, I hope you success in your speech.
