What"s The Weight?

Are the jeans feeling a little snug? Are even your fat pants (the ones with the elastic waist),getting tight? If you are like most of us, you may have put on a little extra weight over the holidays.
So with the new year beginning you have decided to go on a diet.
But which diet is best? Which one will help you lose weight most quickly?How do you sort through the multitude of diet plans being advertised and ballyhooed? Well, I am here to tell you that there are only two ways to lose body fat.
Are you ready? Listen closely.
One way is to eat less calories than you burn and the second is to burn more calories than you eat.
In other words eat less and exercise more.
Ouch.
You were hoping to hear something else? Something new and easy? A safe pill that melts away fat while you sleep or maybe a food with a secret ingredient that boosts your metabolism while you eat anything you desire?Perhaps a magical machine that vibrates the cellulite into oblivion? Forget the fad diets, the fancy machines, and the pills, the supplements the shakes.
None of them work.
And by "work" I don't mean losing weight.
You will lose weight on any diet or exercise program if you stick to it.
When I say "work" I mean not only losing the fat but KEEPING IT OFF as well.
And to do this you need to do something you will be able to live with for the rest or your life.
So, how about doing what you have already been doing with a slight modification? Try these two simple baby steps to start.
Eat the foods you enjoy but eat less of them.
Cut your portions by a third when it comes to the fattier foods and increase the healthier foods like vegetables and fruit.
You don't have to give up the foods you like.
Secondly, plan to exercise at least a little each day.
Dance in your living room.
Take the stairs whenever you can.
Grab a friend, a co-worker or your spouse and go for a ten minute walk.
Go longer if you can.
Ten minutes out and ten back and you have a 20 minute walk.
Do it at least 3-4 times a week but every day if you can.
Even 5 minutes a day of any exercise is more than you did before.
Eat less unhealthy foods, exercise more, be healthy.
