- 1). Use the television's native resolution. In the television's user manual, it will contain a plethora of technical specifications about the TV, including its native resolution. This is the resolution in which the TV is best designed for displaying pictures. While it may be able to display a 1080p HD picture, it may be much quicker in a 720i resolution.
- 2). Turn the television on "Game Mode." Some HD television sets come with a display mode called "Game Mode." This mode automatically sacrifices some picture quality to reduce HD lag.
- 3). Use VGA cables to connect the console to the TV. This will sacrifice many of the HD benefits of the television, even while using HD cables, but it will almost always eliminate a majority of your HD lag problems.
