About.com Rating

NBC's Heroes showcases a group of everyday people from all over the globe that discover they have unique and exciting new abilities. The story includes Mohinder, an Indian scientist who's father's passion about these individuals may have led to his death and Peter Petrelli, brother of a congressman hopeful, and feels that he can fly.

The Story So Far...

Things have started to heat up in the latest episodes of this hot new show.

The characters have started to begin weaving their stories together as they learn of the potential fate of New York City.

Mohinder has begun to question his role in his father's work and is considering to move back to India. His path may be changed however, as he has come into contact with Peter Petrelli, who has had a visit from a Hiro from the future, telling him to, "Save the cheerleader, save the world."

Hiro has embraced his status as hero, but fights with his friend Ando who looks to use his friends power to seek personal gain. The duo has traveled to Las Vegas and is now seeking the painter Isaac, who has illustrated the comic that has guided them thus far.

Nathan Petrelli has had an...interesting run in with Niki Sanders, who seems to be suffering from some sort of multiple personality disorder. He was recently kidnapped by the mysterious Mr. Bennett, but escaped his captors by flying miraculously into the air. Upon landing, he met up with Hiro, who saw him fly.

Peter Petrelli seems to be becoming a centerpiece of the group and has gone to Mohinder to get his help.

Mohinder, for the moment, has spurned his ideas. Peter has not relented, and has tracked down Isaac Mendez, the painter who can see the future. There, he discovers what may be his true ability, that of copying others superpowers and finishes a painting that Isaac Started.

Review

NBC's Heroes has really captured the minds and attention of fans all around. Fan websites have already sprung up and it seems the show is going forward full steam ahead.
I have really enjoyed the last few episodes of Heroes. One thing that the show seems to have going for it is its ability to end the show with such great cliffhangers that keep me wanting more. Even if the series is a little slow in the action department, the great endings have had me riveted. The character development has been strong, and it has been really interesting to see the characters start to come together.

Conclusion

If the series continues to give such a strong showing with its complex character development, interesting storylines, and staggering cliffhangers, you can bet that Heroes will be around for a long time. One can only hope that it can get into the second and third season and not drop off in interest, such as Lost and Desperate Housewives has had.

If you haven't checked into Heroes. Be sure you do. One great thing is that NBC has the latest episode available for viewing online as well as a two minute replay that will catch you up on the series.
