- 1). Mark the location where you plan to run the electrical cable across your driveway with brightly colored chalk. It's important to know the exact location before you cut into the driveway.
- 2). Use a circular saw to cut across the line you created with chalk on your driveway. If you don't have a circular saw, you can usually rent one from a home-improvement store.
- 3). Continue cutting until the entire line is one inch deep and stretches across your entire driveway.
- 4). Put the electrical cable inside the groove you cut in your driveway. Push it in so that it's at the bottom of the groove.
- 5). Seal the hole groove you cut in the driveway using caulk. Make sure the caulk you choose is made for outdoor use and add enough that the electrical cable is completely buried.
