Are you the typical guy trying to find out how to gain muscle fast and just don't know how to do it? Are you putting in the time at the gym, eating all the right food but still not seeing the results you expected? You and a million other guys, brother.
See the problem is we all kinda take working out for granted.
Since everyone says we need to do 4 and 5 day splits and use 3-5 different exercises per muscle group, we believe it to be true.
Why else would they say it, right? I've been right there myself.
Working out 5 days a week, eating a clean diet and I was unbelievably frustrated with my lack of progress.
Sure I was making some gains in the gym, but I felt for the amount of work I was putting in, I should have seen more results.
1%-2% gains really wasn't cutting it.
Well the truth was I was training typically and getting typical results.
I discovered that I was spending way to much time in the gym.
I was exhausting my muscles and burning to many calories.
Since I spent so much time in the gym, my muscles never got a chance to recover and they didn't have enough calories to get bigger.
And that's the key to making big increases; you have to stop working out so often! Seems counterintuitive, I know.
We're so inclined to putting in hard work that we assume that more hard work means more gains.
But gains aren't made working out, they;re made when we're home sleeping.
If we don't have enough rest and calories, we simply can't get bigger! Another bonus tip I want to leave you with is do more compound exercises; squats, lunges, dead lifts, bench presses.
pull ups, etc all work tons of muscles at one time and allow you to lift very heavy weights.
Spending to much time on isolation moves like preacher curls just cause your muscles to tire as well as burning excessive amounts of calories.
