Hollywood Writer's Union is now hiring people to put on bright red T-shirts and help them picket outside the Hollywood Studios.
I was a Starbucks on the Westside and they even hired some homeless people to help them add numbers to their ranks.
For many regular Americans with regular jobs that do not pay nearly what the Hollywood Writers make, this whole strike seems disingenuous, as the Hollywood Writers have dream jobs and are paid extremely well.
Some families with very high values think that the Hollywood Writers are paid way too much; "for the trash they put on TV" and whether you agree with them or not is irrelevant, because that is exactly what they think.
These same families and their family members spend an average of 5 hours per day watching TV and spend an average of $150 per year for Movies, DVDs and other entertainment of this type.
When the Hollywood Writers go on strike and ask for more money all entertainment consumers, which is basically everybody will have to pay more in the future.
Meanwhile, during the strike these consumers will be forced to watch re-runs of shows they have already seen and were probably underwhelmed the first time around.
That is pure torture, and it is amazing that the politically left leaning Hollywood Writers are against torturing terrorists, yet torture all of America, with re-runs, higher prices and persnickety comments about their Studio employers who already are paying them more than any other writers in the World.
